Knowing the answer to a test question do not guarantee you points. You must do it fast enough such that you can answer all questions within the time limit. For Paper 1 Chemistry = MCQ, you are given only 1 hour. O level Paper 2 Chem is 1 hour 45 minutes. A level Paper 2 / Paper 3 is only 2 hour to 3 hour. 2 hour is long, but you'll find out that you do not have enough time to answer all.

Test papers are important. During tuition I usually give test papers, and we classify test questions into several groups. By recognizing the type of questions, You can work faster along the pattern I gave you.

So you answer the questions slowly. By doing it slowly, you feel more secure. You tend to check your answer twice at the start of the test. Usually you worked very slowly at the start of the test. Then you work faster as you are pressed by the time.
You should be doing the opposite. Work faster at the start, then slower at the end. When you have finished answering use the time to check your previous answer.

In my tuition, from June to September, usually we finished covering all the chapters in Chemistry. So we use the time to train students exam skills. We use timer to measure the time students spend for each questions. You can do the same at home.
