You get BAD Chemistry test result because
You do not memorise chemistry tables / lists.
you do not have to do calculation,
you do not have to process the information,
you do not have to visualise a picture,
all you need to do is memorise a certain list.
In O level, QA (qualitative analysis) is a perfect example of a chapter that you need to do a lot of memorising. In JC Chemistry, the chapters that you need to memorise a lot is Organic Chemistry, especially the list of organic reactions.
If you are very good at memorising, 40 % of the marks in O Level is in your pocket.
Examples of this type of questions :
Sec Chemistry questions :
1. Why iron can displace lead in lead(II) nitrate ?
2. Give an example of neutral oxides.
3. What catalyst is needed to speed up hydrogenation reaction ?
......
JC chemistry questions :
1. What is the definition of Lewis acid ?
2. What is meant by dynamic equilibrium ?
3. What is a complex ion ?
......
Why
so that

?
reason 5.1
The devil is in the details. The basic concept of chemistry is relatively simple to understand. If you understand Chemistry you'll get C in O Level. But to get A, you need to memorise the details. People tend to dismiss the process of memorising information during the lesson. They want to see the bigger picture during the lesson. That's OK if they memorise the details after the lesson. In my experience, people (including my students) seldom do revision unless they were asked to.
reason 5.2
You get BAD Chemistry test result because
This problem is easy to solve. Come to my trial lesson. I teach you how to memorise chemistry tables quickly.
reason 5.3
You get BAD Chemistry test result because
My solutions :
solution 5.1
Drop Chemistry subject.
solution 5.2
Come for my trial lesson.
Several strategies are there to make it easier for you to memorise.
strategy 1 :
SPLIT list of things to memorise in such a way that there are small number of items. Preferably less than 10.
strategy 2 :
Number the items you need to memorise.
There are more strategy to memorise things.
solution 5.3
Do not procrastinate.
It's easy for me to make you memorise the QA or catalyst for organic reactions. I just keep asking the same question again and again until you remember. And you are going to spend your time at home studying Chemistry to avoid my special brand of HQNT (High Quality Nagging Technique). That's my job.
I nag you until you remember :
1. reactivity series (15 metals)
2. solubility table (4 anions)
3. test for cations, anions and gasses (22 tests)
4. inorganic reactions (11 reaction patterns)
5. organic reactions (11 reactions)6. reaction in the blast furnace (5 reactions)
7. factors affecting speed of reactions (5 factors)
8. etc.
Memorise those, or else.

Procrastination. Common problem.
Not only students procrastinate.
Adults and parents also procrastinate.
Teachers also procrastinate.
We postpone doing things we do not like even though we need to do it. Everybody does that. That's why the reward for people who do not procrastinate is very high. In this case the reward is an A in Chemistry. My solutions :
